Spencer and I LOVE to travel. Charley visited 19 states before she even turned 1 year! We have created this blog to document our many travels, family life, running fun, and to help friends and family follow us from afar. We love exploring new places and trying new food wherever we go. So enjoy!

Highlights of 2011:

1. canyoneering in Zion 2. backpacking in Kauai 3. being a tourist in Chicago 4. playing croquet in Montana 5. hiking in Arizona 6. anniversary in Lava 7. I ran the St. George marathon 8. camping in the Uinta's 9. went to a Notre Dame football game in South Bend.

1. trip to Washington and Victoria, B.C. 2. being tourists in Philadelphia 3. exploring the Hampton's 4. camping in New Jersey 5. biking around Governor's Island 6. relaxing in Mexico 7. ran the Boston Marathon 8. touring our Nation's Capitol in Washington D.C. 9. visiting family in South Carolina 

Highlights of 2015: (disclaimer: we had Bergen in May so this year we traveled close to home) 
1. getaway /babymoon to Cabo San Lucas 2. Family reunion in Washington 3. beach day at Coney Island 4. Family reunion at Bear Lake 5. family/lobster eating trip to Maine! 6. we loved Maine so much we came back for Christmas 7. exploring New York at the Zoo and Times Square 8. Gramma B visited us! 9. more New York site seeing at Central Park and on the Brooklyn Bridge. We also traveled to South Carolina again to visit the Dunn family!

Highlights of 2016:
1. our first Disney World experience with the girls 2. living the tipi life in Woodstock, NY and rented out a yurt for a few days with my sister Danielle in Accord, NY 3. road tripping along the California Coast 4. exploring Washington D.C. (where we also saw a BYU Football game and I ran a 1/2 marathon) 5. admiring Storm King in upstate New York. 6. the Magic Garden in Philadelphia 7. Christmas in Washington 8. camping the 4th of July in New Jersey 9. Cape Cod summer vacation with friends

Highlights of 2017
1) TAHITI Presidents Club for Spencers work. The BEST trip of our life! 2) Camping in Accord, NY 3) Portland, Oregon 4) Dallas, Texas to meet baby Madeleine 5) Montreal, Canada with friends 6) Camping at Alger Island 7) Colorado to visit cousins 8) Scottsdale, Arizona sister/mama trip 9) Utah to visit family 

Highlights of 2018
1. Eating all the lobsta in Newport, Rhode Island 2. Lenny/Mommy trip to Catalina Island, CA    3. Marathon running in St. George, UT and a quick trip to Boston 4. Washington D.C. for Easter   5. Cape Cod 6. Governors Island, NY glamping with my main man 7. Adirondack camping and Woodstock, NY getaway with our besties 8. Myrtle Beach, SC Ellingson family reunion 9. Eating all the croissants in PARIS!!! 

Highlights of 2019
1. Staycation to Governor's Island for Spencer's Birthday AND a January staycation into the city. 
2. Apple picking in Woodstock with our besties. 3. Spencer and Bergen went to Massachusetts for a BYU game. 4. Camping in the Adirondacks at Moffit Beach. 5. Exploring Portugal and the Azores kid-less. 6. Biking around Cape Cod. 7. A trip to Vermont and then up to Montreal 8. Hiking into Hava Supai 9. A girls trip to Palm Springs and Madison's marathon in Vegas. 

Highlights of 2020
Here is our lineup for quarantine 2020 travel in no particular order. 
1. Jones Beach every Saturday to get some fresh air and sun! 2. A hike near our new home in New Canaan, CT. 3. Washington- Winthrop for the Bradshaw Family Reunion and Mead to visit Tim and Heather. 4. Washington- Seattle sight seeing and North Bend to visit the Dunn Family. 5. Hiking and playing in Bryce Canyon. 6. Palmyra with cousins. 7. Utah- Highland to visit Gramma and Grandpa Ellingson and Scofield for the Ellingson Family Reunion. 8. Brooklyn stoop photo series. 9. Alaska to see Cliff and Steph! 

Highlights of 2021
1. Spencer and I had two getaways- NYC for his birthday and Italy for our 10 year anniversary. 2. I went to California to run a marathon and the girls went to Washington for Grandparent week. 3. Mystic, CT. 4. Orlando, FL for February break. 5. Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Bronx Zoo. 6. Cape Cod. 7. Utah to visit family. 8. Camping at Alger Island and camping with the Murphy's in upstate NY. 9. Snow Tubing at Powder Ridge. 


Highlights of 2022
1. Orlando, FL for February break. 2. Alaska Family Reunion. 3. Spencer and I had a night in the city for his birthday and Spencer and the 3 older girls drove 8 hours to Ohio to pick up our new puppy, Jackie. 4. Spencer had two hunting trips- duck hunting in Idaho with his UT friends and hog hunting in South Carolina with his BFF Brian and his dad. 5. Washington to visit family. 6. Washington D.C. to see the temple open house. 7. Summer fun in Idaho and Bear Lake. 8. Utah to visit family. 9. I took two trips- one in Palm Springs, CA with my high-school friends and another to Utah to run a half marathon with sisters. 

Highlights of 2023
1. Spring Break in Charleston, SC. 2. Charley and Bergen go to Washington for Grandparent week. 3. I had a girls get-away to Palm Springs and Spencer had a hunting trip in Idaho. 4. For my birthday we rented a boat on Lake Candlewood. 5. Spencer and I had a baby-moon vacation to Mexico. 6. Cape Cod in the summer with 2-week old Tate. 7. February Break Mall of America. 8. Skiing in Okemo, Vermont. 9. Spencer and Charley went to a BYU game in Texas. 


Highlights of 2024
1. Boating on Candlewood Lake and Cape Cod with Grandma B and Bart. 2. DisneyWorld 3. South Carolina for Charley and Bergen and Seattle for Mom. 4. Las Vegas for Mom and Dad and Alaska Cruise with Bradshaw Family. 5. Caribbean Island Cruise with Ellingson Family. 6. Girl Dad Camp in Utah and Upstate New York. 7. Skiing in Vermont and visiting Joseph Smith's birthplace 8. BYU Game in Provo for Dad and Bergen and Boston Marathon for Mom! 9. Fun in NYC and camping at Little Pond Campground int he Catskills.
