So the first week of May, Spencer had a conference type work-thing in Orlando. The girls and I tagged along and were able to to go DisneyWorld for 3 of the days and then we stayed at the resort for one of the days and swam! Charley was in pool heaven! I think she loved the pool more than Disney World. She loved meeting the different characters (Pluto was her favorite) and riding on the rides too! We stayed at Animal Kingdom Resort which is super cool. There are actually safari animals at the resort. They were right outside our window! There were giraffes, zebras, ostrich, and a few others that I have no clue what they were :) One night we also got a babysitter from the resort and just Spencer and I went to Magic Kingdom to ride the rides and have a night to ourselves. It was a lot of fun! We each got a HUGE turkey leg for dinner and then some yummy ice cream later on.
I realized after our trip that I am not a huge theme park person. Maybe it's because my kids aren't at an older age, but a lot of it was waiting in lines, cranky toddlers and sleep deprived kids. My idea of traveling is seeing sites, traveling to different towns/places and seeing some country. Don't get me wrong, DisneyWorld was super fun and just seeing Charley's eyes light up when she met Bell and Pluto was worth it! I went when I was like 5 years old so I guess I just don't see a lot of the hype about it.
Anyway, we actually met up one day with a friend from Brooklyn. Her parents live really close and she was visiting them so we met up at the park and did Magic Kingdom together. It was nice to be with her because her and her mom were DisneyWorld experts! They knew everything and where everything was! Charley also had fun playing with Wren and going on the rides with her!
We were able to get a lot of fast passes and pretty much all the rides we took were from our fast passes. We also did the carousel a lot because the girls loved it and the lines weren't long. I actually threw up after a couple times from going on it because I have a weak stomach.
Charley loved doing the Mickey Mouse breakfast one morning too. She met a lot of characters and thought its as so fun that they came to say hi at her table while she was eating!
We went to Animal Kingdom Park one day and it was awesome! It was like a HUGE zoo! Charley loved going on the safari and seeing the Flamingos :) She also got a Panda face painting which was the cutest!
Charley loves ketchup! I actually don't know where she found this love for ketchup because we don't own any ketchup and I don't use it. I am not a fan... when we were at a restaurant one day she saw it in a dispenser and asked me for some. I gave her some and she ate it with a fork!
