Right after Tate was born we had to start planning some birthdays! Spencer bought a HUGE, I mean HUGE, pot and he wanted to do a seafood boil! He invited about 6 families over (40 people) and we had a fun outdoor party with LOTS of seafood! It was a fun night and I made him a lemon ricotta cheesecake which was really good!! We love our Spencer so much! He is the best dad to all these girls. He wrestles with them, plays games with them, jumps on the trampoline with them, helps me cook and clean and do all the things. He loves to read books at night and snuggle with them. He wakes up early to work out and comes up from working out singing at the top of his lungs! He is kind, honest, a hard worker, spiritual and really efficient with his time. He gets things done and does them fast! I am always so impressed with how he manages his time and can get so many things done in the day. We love him so much!!
Charley also had a birthday party which I had planned a lot before Tate was born so it was easy to bring together. We had hamburgers for dinner, played the saran wrap game, jumped on the trampoline, the girls all decorate tote bags with markers and paint and then Charley opened presents and had a chocolate chip birthday cake. Then they watch Mario together. It was a fun night and all the girls wanted to hold Tate which was really cute! I got so many texts from mom saying their daughter loved holding Tate!
From my journal to Charley: I can't believe you are TEN Charley! Wow you have grown up so much! You are such a sweet girl and I am so glad you are in our family. You are wise, kind, a helper, funny, independent, a great softball player and an awesome performer. You have such a beautiful voice! You sang a song with your sister for Bergen's baptism and so many people commented on how beautiful your voice was! You are organized and come home from school and do your homework right away without being asked. You are an awesome piano player and are really good at practicing and playing your pieces. You are social and love to make new friends but also play with your friends that you already have. I would say your favorite friends right now are Annie, Celine and Saraya, Grace, Poppy Coleman and Jessica. You have had such a fabulous year in 4th grade! Your teacher, Mrs. Marek was absolutely amazing and we have loved her as your teacher. She is sweet and kind and has helped push you when needed. You love to ride your scooter into town with Annie and get a boboa tea or go to Mobile and get a candy. You love to read and will often be found in your room reading a book. You love to take Jackie out on walks and most recently would walk from school to the library with an audio book and listen while you walk. Once at the library you would go to the Maker Lab and work on a knitting project you learned how to do. You love to stay up late and play Mario Kart with Dad and also you love to jump on the trampoline with him and Bergen once the little girls have gone to bed. You are gaining a testimony and have bore your testimony a few times about a certain scripture you love which is so sweet! You love all things Harry Potter so an early birthday present that I got you was a date with me into the city to see the Harry Potter Broadway. You were on your seat the entire time! You loved it and the magic in the play was really good!! At intermission you chose a chocolate wand and popcorn to eat. Before the show you chose Shake Shack for a hamburger and shake!
Charley we all love you so much and are so glad that you are the oldest to set an example of good and kindness in our family. You are loved by all and think you are so great!
