This year it was our turn to host the Ellingson Family reunion. We decided to do it in Utah where we felt we would get the biggest turnout. Unfortunately, some weren't able to make it due to Covid and quarantine requirements. We rented a big house that could fit just about the whole crew at Scofield reservoir. The kids loved playing in the warm hot tub together which worked out perfect for adults while we played games and sat on the porch.
It's not an Ellingson family reunion without Sushi! We kept the tradition alive by making our own sushi rolls.
This year was especially fun because we got to do Spencer's favorite thing.. catch crawdads! The kids had so much fun running along the docks and in the water scooping up the crawdads. The first night we were there we had to do it by hand, but then invested in some nets so the kids wouldn't get pinched.
One afternoon we did tie-dye with the younger kids, while the older kids did escape rooms inside. They were great activities and the escape rooms were a great way for the older kids to work together.
For lunch we had a big crawdad broil out on the patio. Corn, Crawdads, potatoes, and sausage all dipped in butter! Everyone (almost) loved it!
