The morning of her birthday we walked to the dollar store to get her some balloons and on the way I took a few pictures of her in her new birthday dress that Gramma B gave her. She also got to pick out one surprise and her and Bergen decided on a little chocolate egg that you open and it has a Frozen figurine in it. She was so excited about having a #4 balloon! We got back to the house, made some lunch and then got the roof ready by filling the pool with water and hanging a few decorations. He friends arrived and they all had fun playing in the water. We got them each a squirt gun and a beach ball to have as well. We played "pin the sunglasses on Charley" and a few other games that I had thought of. It was a perfect day for the pool and to celebrate this girl!
I just love this girl so much! Birthdays bring so many emotions of kids getting older and not wanted them to. I just don't want her getting any older! It's hard to see but I also love seeing her learn and grow and develop these amazing qualities. Charley is a such sweet, sensitive and loving girl. She is the sweetest to Bergen and really takes care of her sister. She shares, talks in a loving voice and helps her when Bergen asks for help. They play together really well and it's been fun to see their relationship develop as well. Charley loves to do what is right and is such a rule follower. She doesn't like to be told "no" or be disciplined from other people. She gets really timid and usually starts to cry if someone else tries to tell her not to do something. Charley loves sweets and will usually do anything for a treat! She loves to drink lemonade, eat noodles and fruit and eats oatmeal just about every morning for breakfast. She is super independent and I can have her do about an hour of quiet time while I take a nap and she is perfectly fine reading books, playing with toys or doing a craft. For her birthday we got her a bike so she has been practicing outside with Dad on riding it without training wheels. She is good at balancing but just gets scared when he lets go. She is getting it though! Charley loves animals and little creatures. She isn't afraid or tiny ants, worms or anything creepy crawling thing. She loves holding and touching any time of bug that she finds. Charley LOVES the water! She loves swimming in the pool, going to the ocean and when we were camping, swimming in the lake. She just loves being in the water and practicing her "swimming".
This girl is the sweetest friend and I love watching her interact with other kids. She is still learning the social norms which is fun to watch but also really doesn't have a mean bone in her body and gets confused when others are mean or rude to her.
Charley loves dancing to music, her blankie and stuffies, reading books and her PJ's. She is a fast learner and is learning to read some words right now. She has also taken on to some math which was not me teaching her at all! But she loves telling me what numbers below 10 added together make.
We love you Charley girl and are so happy you are in our family!
