Our TOP 16 for 2016
1. We continue to love living in New York and the
daily adventures it brings. #exceptwhenspencersbiketirewasstolenatwork 2. Charley broke her collarbone a few days before
turning three. #anotherfallingoffthebedcasualty 3. Madison ran her 8th marathon in
California last month. #icanfinallyeaticecreamagain 4. Spencer’s
summer dreams came true by going crabbing in Cape Cod. He only caught one, but
it was more about the experience. #orsohesays 5. Bergen turned
18 months and is an energetic fearless toddler. #howdoesshegetonthecountersofast
6. We took Charley and Bergen to Disney World but
their favorite part was the hotel swimming pool and carousel. #aprettyexpensivetriptojustgoswimming
7. We escaped the city and rented a yurt and tipi in
Woodstock, NY. #glampingisthebest 8. Madison loves staying home with her girls and
exploring the city with them. She is going to keep them close as long as she
can. #mommypre-k 9. We moved 2 blocks away into another apartment. We
love it as it gives us much more space to grow. #wemaybeherelongerthanwethought
10. Bergen’s
favorites are doggies, eating, playing hide-and-seek, and feeding our fish Leo.
#shemayhavegrabbedhimafewtimes #hesadurablefish 11. Charley asks “but why?” to everything, in her
prayers asks to go to Costco, and loves making crafts. #costcosamplesmakeagreatlunch
12. The girls can walk around the city for hours in the
stroller but start to complain after about 5 minutes of being in a car seat.
#cityliving 13. Spencer is sticking with the BYU Cougars and finds
any excuse he can to go to a game. #truebluethroughandthrough 14. Charley is
sweet, has an infectious laugh, and gets daily compliments on her beautiful
curly hair. #ihopeshelikesitwhenshesolder 15. Bergen loves
throwing things in the garbage (and toilet), mimics her sister, and loves
playing in the water. #prettymuchaminicharley 16. We are always up for trying a new
ice-cream place if anyone wants to come visit! There are endless possibilities
and not enough hours in the day to try them all. #thinktoastedmilkseasaltchocolateganache
or #bloodorangegoldenbeetpureecocoanib (those are real flavors at Ice and Vice
if anyone is intrigued) J
While this year
brought so much joy and excitement, we also experienced sadness and grief with
the passing of Madison’s brother-in-law, Jim. This year we hug our loved ones a
little closer, laugh a little longer and treat others better because of Jim. We
are especially grateful for eternal families and for our ultimate example of
love and charity from our Savior. We are grateful for your friendship and hope
this season brings you happiness and the energy to be more kind and Christ-like
to those around you. With love, the Ellingsons
