Date night and playground fun

11.29.2016

On our way to the playground one day, we stopped at this cute little cafe/shop to have some breakfast and treat. We used to live really close to this place when it was a donut and ice cream shop, but it was recently bought by someone else and they re-did it and it looks so cute and has some great gelato!
I love going into Bergen's room when she is asleep for the night and see how she ends up sleeping. It's the cutest!
Charley and Spencer went on a Daddy-daughter date a couple weeks ago. Charley had seen this painting pottery place one day when we were walking to the post office and asked if we could go inside. Knowing Bergen would want to grab everything I told her that maybe her and her Dad could go back and paint something together. She was so excited! On Saturday Spencer took her and let her choose a pottery to paint. She chose a tiara bank that has a slot to put coins in. Spencer said she was pretty cute painting it and loved it!
This girl is too cute! She is a busy one but I wouldn't have it any other way. She loves the playground and climbing up and down things all day. I caught her sitting for a mili-second and had to snap a few pictures. I told her to do peek-a-boo and this was how she did it! :) So close Bergs!
This picture describes Bergen perfectly. She climbed up a super hard part of this jungle gym to get to the top so she could slide down. The first time she climbed up I wasn't there with her and a grown lady started screaming and grabbed her off the jungle gym and brought her to me. I realized she wanted to climb up to get to the slide so I stood under her and had my hand ready under her as she climbed up. She didn't need my help but I felt better being there in case she fell. She is super strong and actually lost grasp with her feet and was hanging on with just her hands! It was pretty amazing. Now when we go to the playground, all she wants to do is climb up the steep part of the playground (for ages 5 and up) to get to the slide. :) She is a climber and go-getter.
I took this photo one day during my run because I loved all the colors! :) I love running around the park in the fall. It's the best!
A few weeks ago, our good friends texted us and said they wanted to watch the girls for the day and told us to go out on a date! It was super nice of them so we decided to go to Chelsea Piers and hit a bucket of balls. We weren't planning on staying out for dinner, but they told us they would put the girls to bed for us so we went to Morimoto Sushi. Spencer had been a few times and said it's really top quality sushi and he wanted me to try it. It was really good and we got some great rolls! Afterward we were walking around and found Dominique Ansel's Kitchen so we stopped on by and bought some macaroons, cookies, granola and a lavender almond scone. Then we stopped at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and got some of the best ice cream ever!! It was really good!
