Alaskaaaaaa

For my dad's 70th birthday he took all he kids/spouses on an Alaskan cruise! It was a lot of fun and such a great time with my family. We left from Vancouver, B.C. and took then cruised up to Anchorage. We had 3 stops along the way and 2 boat days where we went into Glacier National Park and saw beautiful Glaciers! The first day in Vancouver we went on a really cool bike ride around Vancouver and in a park. We then did this suspension bridge with the Dunns that was way cool! You walk across and on the other side is more cool tree-lined bridges that you can walk across. In Anchorage we visited Cliff and Steph and had dinner with them with some of the family and then got on a red-eye for home! The cruise was really cool and I feel like we always saw a family member on the boat. We were meeting up to play cards a lot, Spencer and I worked out in the mornings and ate some good food. Our first stop in Ketchikan we got up early and got off the boat to make it to this fishing hole that was supposedly good for seeing bald eagles and bears. We saw BOTH and it was amazing. We had watched for a while and didn't see anything but then we moved to a different spot and spotted a bear! He actually came out to try to steal a fishermans fish and the fisherman had to shoo him away. It was pretty funny. But then we saw tons and tons of bald eagles hovering over dead fish and it was amazing! I loved this spot so much and it was something we just happened upon and hadn't planned to do at first. Then we took an Uber back into town and did a hike with Sarah. The hike was beautiful and so green and lush and we saw the whole town below. Afterrward we went kayaking with Petersons and Dunns which was fun too. It was a good day.
The next day in Juneau we went to the Mendehall Glacier and walked around. We saw a cool waterfall and parts of the Glacier that were floating in the water and so blue! We walked around town and window-shopped and then were supposed to go on a dog-sledding adventure but we got a call that it was too foggy for the helicopter pilots to see so they cancelled it! I was so bummed!! That was the one thing I was really looking forward to doing but we ended up going on another hike which was beautiful and it was fine.
The last day in Skagway we went on another hike up to a glacier that we got to TOUCH! It was a train ride up and then a very quick walk to the glacier. We had to move fast since the train was coming back down the mountain in a few hours and we had to catch it or we were out of luck. We met up with the Deeres and got to see them too! When we first started the hike, there was so much bear poop! I was nervous that we would see a bear but we didn't but I was surprised at how much bear poop there was!
