More December fun. Spencer was able to meet us in the city to see Santa at Macy's which was so nice. We went to a Hot Pot afterward. We had a candy cane hunt, roasted mallows out in our fire, Tiff and her friend Linsey came to visit and we made hot chocolate and gingerbread houses with them. We had an neighborhood party and we made some charcuterie boards and desserts and wassail. It was fun to get all the neighbors together. Jonny had her preschool performance and sang the cutest Christmas songs and then afterward got to see Santa at her preschool party. Tate also turned 5 months and I got some pretty adorable 5 month pictures of her. She is just the best baby and so calm and happy! She is such a good sleeper and is sleeping 7am-7pm with 3 naps during the day. She loves to smile and laugh and be with her sisters and mom and dad.
We had a hot chocolate stand one day where the weather was actually really warm. Charley wanted to do a stand to earn money for our boat fund. We bought a boat (!!!) and we told the girls they needed to pitch in a little and help earn some money for it. Charley has taken this very seriously and has raised about $100 for it. We also went to a cute play one Saturday called, Christmas cookies. The girls seemed to like it and it was a fun way to see a play, not broadway, but not super bad either! A few more things we did: family talent show, caroled to friends and neighbors, took cookies to the firemen, went ice skating and for New Years Eve we did fireworks with our neighbors. After Christmas we also went skiing in Vermont at Okemo. It was a great week spent and Spencer and I switched off taking care of Jonny and Tate while the other one skied and then we would switch mid-day.
