The girls had a read-a-thon for school and have been busy reading. Bergen is the competitive one and wants to read the most out of her Kinder class. Charley is naturally a reader and so it isn't even that hard for her to reach for a book any free second. And Lenny wanted to join the fun so she will sit the a book and the i-pad for her timer and read too! It's been great and I feel like it has really helped Bergen learn to read! We have both seem HUGE jumps in her reading.
We also had a cool opportunity to participate in the Nature Center's adopt a Maple Tree for the season. Each week you "tap" your tree for sap and collect the sap. Then at the end of the season they will boil it down into maple syrup! It's been fun. The first day we came out and picked which tree we wanted and have now came out twice and collected a bucket full of maple sap. It looks just like water and doesn't even have a taste, but for some reason when it's boiled down it turns into syrup!
