37 weeks!

12.23.2019

We are in the home stretch of baby joining our family soon! This pregnancy has been different in many ways for me. If I could guess, I am guessing it's a boy because it's felt like a different pregnancy than my others. I have felt a lot bigger and gained more weight with this one. These last few weeks my stomach has just felt stretched to the max and it's been hard to eat a decent meal without getting full super fast and sitting down actually hurts because the baby's legs just push up against my ribs. I have also felt my mood has been different with this one and I have been more on edge and sad. Maybe that has to do with being hormonal and having three other little ones to take care of but I have felt out of patience lately and not as calm as I usually am. I stopped running around 35 weeks and have just been trying to walk a few days a week. It still feels good to get out and walk! The last time I ran with my friend Sharra I was having a LOT of contractions so I figured I better stop running. I still have contractions throughout the day but I know those are just braxton hicks. I have talked to my OB about a induction date as well. Spencer is really urging me to get induced so we know when baby is coming and we can plan for it. We know my babies come fast and having to plan a place to get the girls and then take an Uber up to midtown where my hospital is could mean I am cutting it a bit close to having a baby in the car! I am hoping to not be induced and that everything will work out though. I would really love to go into labor on my own and that my body will do it naturally but as I have appointments these next few weeks I will see how everything looks and make a decision. Who knows?! Spencer and I still haven't talked about names either. We need to pick a few boy and girls names we like so we are prepared! :) In the next few days I am going to get all the baby clothes from the basement and start going through them and set up the little moses basket for baby! The girls are getting excited too and Lenny is so sweet to always come up and kiss and rub my belly. She says "hi" to the baby multiple times a day and has me lift up my shirt so she can see baby. I know Bergen is going to be my little mama helper and I hope Lenny will be soft and kind to the baby. She is pretty aggressive and I am not sure how she is going to take a new little one in the house.
Baby is VERY active rom about 9pm-11pm each night. That is when I can feel it the most and when it kicks and moves around a lot. It is probably because that is the only time I am actually sitting still but it's pretty fun to watch and feel as it kicks around.
