December fun!

I love this time of year in the city! Everything is so magical, there is plenty of Christmas-y things to do all around and people are in a good mood! We had quite a busy week before Christmas visiting people and exploring the city. Some of our favorites were Madison Square Park tree lighting. There was a cool gingerbread house that we went into too! City Bakery hot chocolate with a huge marshmallow. Union Square Holiday Square. Visiting Santa at Macy's. Going caroling to friends and neighbors bringing treats and putting hot chocolate in sippy cups for the girls. We also tried a new thing this year and went up to the New York Botanical Garden Train Show. It was amazing!!! It was pretty pricey but we loved walking around and seeing all the art installed for the trains. Everything was made out of sticks, bark and rock. It was pretty cool to see.
Charley and Spencer went to Utah for a few days. His best friend, Clint was getting married and so he decided to bring Charley along too. Charley had so much fun at Grandpa and Grandma Ellingson's house. She thought it was pretty special being the only one. She got to play with them, make cookies, decorate a gingerbread house and spend some good time with them.
When Spencer and Charley were in Utah they also got to go participate in Madeleine's baby blessing. The Deere's were there for Christmas and wanted to bless Maddie while they were there. It was great timing for Spencer to participate too.
We had a ward party at the church and Santa came to visit! Bergen was a little unsure about him and didn't want a picture with him. She also had her shirt off at this point. She always seems to take her shirt off in places we go. She doesn't like when it gets wet (which it usually does) and so she takes it off. I don't think she had undies on either ;)
Charley had a Christmas play at school and it was pretty cute. They sang and danced to "Do you want to build a snowman?" song. They were super cute!
I have been so blessed to be able to pump extra milk for dear Madeleine. Since Lenny was born, each time I would feed Lenny I would pump extra milk. I was able to save up about 500 ounces to send to Madeleine. Spencer brought it on the plane when he went to Utah to bring to the Deere's.
