Ellingson Family Reunion 2015

8.21.2015

This summer we took a HUGE trip to Utah/Washington for some family reunions, my sisters wedding, my brother's mission homecoming and Bergen's baby blessing. We started out our vacation in Utah where we had the Ellingson Family Reunion in Bear Lake. I have never been to Bear Lake, but it was amazing! The water is so blue and the weather was perfect! It was such a fun family reunion. We went to the Minitonka Caves, played on the beach, went into town for some yummy raspberry shakes, played games and hung out with family. It was so nice to see a lot of Spencer's brothers' family since they are all spread out and we hardly get to see them. We all stayed in a house and condo, played with cousins and enjoyed Bear Lake. Charley loved playing in the water and going on the paddle board. She would start to sing "row, row, row your boat" when we would push her around. Thanks for a fun week Ellingson's!
After the reunion, we stayed at Spencer's parents house for a week while we cleaned out our Storage unit in Lehi. We are staying in New York longer than we thought, so we decided to clean out our storage unit and have a big yard sale. We sold most everything, kept a few boxes and took the rest to DI. It was nice to clean out our unit but sad to see everything go. And man are Utahans cheap-o's! They would go down to the last quarter on prices.
Mark and DeAnn were so kind to let us stay in their home! We went to the Curiosity Museum one day and had fun playing! Charley loved playing in their backyard too. They have a huge blackberry bush that Charley loved going out and picking fresh blackberries and eating them.
I also met up with good friends! I was able to go out to lunch with a few friends, go running with my good friend Chandi (and get a hair cut) and go on a hike up the Canyon with my friend Sarah. She has a little girl Charley's age and it was fun to see them together after being gone for so long. Charley loved being out in nature and hiking up the canyon and going in the water. It was so good to catch up with friends too!
