Spencer turns 30

A couple days before Charley's party Spencer asked me what we were doing for HIS birthday. I had completely forgot about his birthday! I felt so bad and tried to think of something quick on my feet when he asked... but nothing came. I had been so busy planning Charley's that I had forgot about his. Worst. wife. ever. I remember when I was pregnant with Charley I was praying and praying that she wouldn't come on his birthday for this exact reason and it still happened. Well it turned out fine because he was actually in Utah on his birthday, so when he came back we had a mini surprise birthday party for him before we left for Washington the next day. It worked out perfect since he was gone because I could plan everything and go to the store and buy things I needed without him knowing. I invited a few friends over to come celebrate and we had a "Dirty 30" theme. I also couldn't resist blowing up a picture of him when he was little that I just LOVE! 

I made him his favorite dessert. It's a cream-cheese/almond extract/bisquick/berry delight. 

Happy Birthday Spence! You are such a great father, husband and best friend! We love you so much and are so grateful for your hard work, love, support and laughter you give us. I am grateful to be married to such an amazing man that helps me cook dinner, clean the house, help out with Charley and supports me in my crazy ideas (like buying organic milk for Charley and taking pictures everywhere we go and going to Target just because).
