Week 39

This pregnancy has been really fun and easy for me. I have felt so blessed because I know pregnancy isn't easy for everyone. I really contribute it to running (and now walking) each morning and staying in shape, eating healthy and not over-doing it "just because your preggo". I haven't felt tired, my feet are not swollen and I feel just like normal except I can't do an ab workout or sit-up!:) I have 1 week from today left of pregnancy and we are so excited to meet our baby girl!
These last couple weeks have been a bit emotional for us because I have had so many ultrasounds and non-stress-tests. My belly has always measured small and so I have been having ultrasounds to make sure our baby is still healthy and growing. She is a champ! I have now had 2 non-stress-tests to watch our babies heart rate and again, make sure everything is okay. And she has been. Today I had one and I was having contractions about 5 minutes apart and sometimes 3 minutes long and so they sent me down to labor and delivery to monitor me for a longer time... I was still having contractions but not hard enough and not regular and so they sent me home.
My Dr. set me to be induced July 18th (my due date) because she is a bit small and he doesn't think she will get much bigger. It was such a hard choice to decide if I wanted to be induced since right now I am 2.5cm dilated and 70% effaced.. but after talking to my Dr. I felt good about being induced if she hasn't come by next week. I would rather her be out and in our arms than have some complications with my placenta maturing or her not growing anymore. So whether she comes on her own or not... she will be here in a week!!
My mom has been super cute and sweet to check in on me and ask if everything is going well. She is so sweet to care and I just had to share an e-mail she sent today. This is her 10th grandchild and I feel like it's their first. She is so supportive!

Dear Madison and Spencer,

We are so happy and excited for you to have your baby girl.  We can hardly wait for our newest granddaughter to be born.  We are looking forward to meeting her and welcoming her into this world and into our family.  You are going to be such wonderful parents.  She truly is blessed to be coming to your home.
I wanted to write and tell you that you are going to do great in the labor and delivery.  I remember thinking when I was going through labor and delivery that women do this every day and that I am just one of many.  I remember thinking it is a very natural process and that it was not something “out of the ordinary”  that I was doing.  Labor and delivery is hard.  But the joys afterward are hard to describe.  It truly is a miracle……………Tears of joy and happiness will come to you as soon as you hold your baby girl.  You will be flooded with so many emotions…………
I love you and pray that baby girl Ellingson will come before your due date and that your body will go through the necessary changes to prepare for the delivery.
I pray that she will be healthy in every way.
I know that Heavenly Father will watch over you.
You are in my thoughts and my prayers everyday until she is born.
