We went to Okemo for February break and it was a lot of fun! Dani and my mom joined us and it was great. We asked my mom to come out to help watch Tate and Jonny during the day while we skied. Dani came out and was able to ski each day with us. The girls did so good. Lenny took ski lessons one day and then went out on the slopes with us the next few days. Spencer and I would switch off who went with Lenny and who went with the older girls. We also met up with the Patels and June and her dad and skied with them. It was a really fun trip. Our airbnb had a hot tub that the girls would get in each night and I would go home and do my training runs after skiing all day so my legs were pretty tired! We also went to the Joseph Smith birthplace and the Ben &n Jerry's ice cream factory which was a fun detour after skiing all week. I had to do my 19 mile run in Vermont and it was the coldest run of my life. like 5 degree weather with wind and snow flurries. Dani ran 6 of it and the wind was so strong in some parts. I ran out and back and almost didn't turn around the come back since the wind was at my face. But I made it and took a really hot shower afterward!
Lenny got 2nd place in the read-a-thon and was recognized at her school assembly! Tate tried out the swing for the first time and wasn't too sure at first but then ended up loving it! It was cute to see her reaction when we first put her in there!
We also celebrated Valentines day! We made heart shaped pizzas and I had a brunch with some ladies and gave the girls the extra candy. Spencer was at a conference in Vegas so we missed him but the next day I actually flew over there with Tate (her first flight!) and met up with Spencer to see the U2 concert! We had a girl that Tiff knew babysit Tate while we were out and it was such a great trip. Very fast.. but fun!
