First Day of School!

We had the first day of school here and everyone was excited and happy! Charley started Middle School 5th Grade, Bergen started 3rd Grade, Lenny is in Kindergarten and Jonny is in the 3's program at St. Mark's Preschool. Charley will walk to Saxe since we live so close and she has a cute friend that lives close to us that she will walk with! I walked with her the first day and took everyone so a friend snapped  picture that I love of all of us! Bergen and Lenny will take the bus and Lenny is so excited to ride the bus! They all had a great first day and Charley LOVES her daily planner where she gets to write down all her assignments. She loves organization. She also got a locker that she got to decorate with magnets, a locker ladder and some cute magnetized cups that she bought! She is loving middle school and just started doing the middle school musical, Finding Nemo, which she is really excited about. She is also doing softball, tennis, dance, piano and activity days at the church. She is busy but does so well of managing it all! 

Bergen is in 3rd grade and when we went to meet the teacher she was really excited about her. She is nice and young and seemed like a good teacher for Bergen. There was a new girl in her class that we had met when we first moved her a few years ago at soccer so it was fun for them to connect and they are going to have a play date soon! Bergen loves graphic novel books and so her teacher is easing her into chapter books as well which I am so glad about. Bergen is doing soccer after school as well as piano and activity days too. She is trying travel soccer this season which I know she will like. She likes the team and coach and it's just a matter or getting her used to the being by herself at practice as she is still a bit attached but she is doing so much better than in the spring! 

Lenny LOVES kindergarten and was made for school. She loves to be social and be with all her friends. She, of course, has made lots of new friends and even made a cute friend on the bus, Fletcher. They sit by eachother everyday and he always smiles and waves at the bus stop when she gets on. He is a cute Kindergartner also. Lenny has a boy in her class that is blind so we talk a lot about helping him and being Kind. Her teacher called me the other day saying that Lenny earned 'star' for going out of her way to be Skyler's partner and was being so kind to him. I love that she is being a good example an helping him in class. Lenny does come home exhausted from school all day! She is tired and it's a long day for her. She usually grabs a snack and then plays with our neighbor boys for a few hours. It's cute that they play so much right now together. Lenny is doing a theater class once a week and is Ursula in the Little Mermaid play. She is also doing soccer on Saturdays.

Jonny is going 4 days a week to preschool and loves it! Her teachers are the same as Lenny, Mrs. Lauten and Mrs. DiMuzio. She loves preschool and is such a sweet little girl. I know it's a good place for her with her teachers and being with friends as I can't get out as much with Tate these days. I'm glad she has preschool. She loves to come home and tell me when she did and is also very organized and responsible getting ready by herself each day and packing her snack.
