Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

12.24.2021

Christmas Eve was such a special day. I feel like we got a lot done and it was so special all day long. We went sledding in the morning and then later that night we opened our sister gifts and went into town to sing Christmas Carols at God's Acre with the whole community. It was so special and wonderful to be together as a whole community and sing together. I loved it. We came home and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and then the girls and us all slept in the family room on mattresses. It took them forever to fall asleep but they finally did! :) The sister gifts were the cutest! The girls each spent a lot of time making gifts for each other. Bergen made Lenny a crown which she loved. Bergen also sewed Charley some hot rice pads for her feet. Charley spent about $60 on her sisters which was the sweetest and got them each 2 gifts she thought they would like. She got Bergen a tie-dye kit and Lenny a jewelry making kit. Jonny picked out some cool jewelry with mom at the store for each of her sisters. There was lots of hugs and love.

Christmas day the girls woke up bright and early to see what Santa brought. They all got some wheels. Charley got a new scooter, Bergen got some rollerblades and Jonny got a ladybug scooter. Jonny got some music toys and Charley and Bergen both got a few crafts to do. Santa brought them each a coke too which they loved :) Charley got an easy-bake oven which she has been making all kinds of desserts with! It was a fun day opening presents and after presents we had breakfast and just relaxed and played with our gifts all morning. That evening Spencer made a delicious seafood platter with crab, lobster, scallops and more! It was delicious because the real Christmas miracle was that after 5 days with Cov!d, I finally got my taste and smell back!! I was the only one with symptoms and who could test since the whole town basically had  it then too and so I tested positive and we assumed everyone got it then too. But luckily everyone was fine and mine was minimal with a sore throat and cough and aches for just a day. I did have a headache too for a few days and lost my smell but got it back Christmas night!! yay!!
