Charley's class had an election to simulate the Presidential Election. Hopefully her election ended a little friendlier than the ours did.
For FHE Charley wanted to make the dessert. She had checked out a cookbook from the library so she flipped through and found a recipe she wanted to make. We went to the store and bought all the ingredients and she came home and made them! They were cupcake fairies and they turned out pretty cute! They had loads of sugar since you had the cupcake, frosting, nilla wafer cookie, sour strips, sprinkles and chocolate chip eyes :)
We've really enjoyed exploring New Canaan this fall. The Nature Preserve's are so beautiful and have been a great way to get the kids out of the house.

Charley and Bergen have both been great helpers in the kitchen lately. Especially when they want to make a dessert!
In anticipation of a long winter inside, Spencer turned the basement into our own playground. We got a swing and hammock and the girls spend lots of time downstairs on the swings! Their friends really enjoy coming over and playing also. It's been a really fun thing to have in our basement!

We went into the Brooklyn to visit our friends! It was so nice to be with PierreLand and her girls. We love them so much! We actually helped her find a new apartment and move in. I had posted on Facebook here in New Canaan if anyone had extra home items that my friend could use some and I had 200 responses!! It was amazing and we were basically able to furnish her whole apartment with beds, sheets, blankets, dressers, kitchen pots and pans and utensils! And then there was money donated that I went and did a huge costco run for them! It was amazing to see the outpouring of love to someone that no one else knew. And PierreLane was so grateful!
