We are in the wonderful parts of Spring where the weather is beautiful and the trees are blooming. There has been quite a bit of rain this year so we have had a lot of inside days but we would be inside anyway because of the coronavirus so it doesn't really matter much. We have been doing some science experiments, going up to the roof almost daily, playing with Jonny, going to the park and climbing trees when we can, and lots of inside crafts.
Our sweet Jonny turned 3 months and she is so yummy right now!! She is starting to sleep through the night and smile at everyone which is so fun! She is a little sweetheart and puts up with a LOT of love from her older sisters.
We got a few things together to send to friends and family during this time. We sent out 37 packages with chocolate, letters, games, pictures, notes, face masks, lotion and presents. It was really fun and a lot of people really enjoyed getting a little something in the mail.
We were able to bless Jonny and Spencer gave her the sweetest blessing. My mother made her dress when she was out here to help and I found a little jewel that went to one of my bracelets which is my birthstone to put on her dress. For each girl I have put something special on their dress. For Charley it was my mothers Aunt (Aunt Velma) who had given her an earring. For Bergen it was Grandma Polatis' button, for Lenny it was DeAnn's necklace medallion and for Jonny it was my bracelet jewel. Since we aren't doing church right now we had the blessing in our home and did a FaceTime with Grandparents to watch as well. It was a very special day. I felt the Spirit of Gloria Ellingson so strong that day right when Spencer started the blessing. It was a warm, BRIGHT overwhelming feeling of love and peace. It was really special and afterward, Mark had said he felt his Mother's presence as well. Spencer blessed Jonny with strength, health, courage and wisdom. He blessed her with courage to do what is right and to follow the teachings of her parents, crouch friends and family. He blessed her with wisdom to know the different between good and evil and that she would understand the consequences of choosing right and wrong, and that she would strive to choose the right. He told her that she was named after a special person. A person who chose to live her life of service and obedience. He said to learn of her and of our Savior. He said that the greatest joy comes from living a life of service.
It was indeed a special day.
We finally reunited with our friends who had been away for 5 weeks in Michigan and it was such a wonderful reunion. Lenny ran to Jennifer and just hugged her for 5 minutes straight. We really missed them! We love the Murphy family so so much and have such a strong and special bond with them. Lenny just clings to Jennifer when she is with her and loves to be with her and their dog, Lulu. Bergen and Emmeline get along really well and Charley and Violet do as well. I feel so connected with Jennifer and our friendship is so easy, non-judgmental and we have such amazing and deep conversations. We also parent the same which really helps.
