Halloween 2019

We had such a fun Halloween this year! Spencer had the wonderful idea of dressing up as the famous soccer player, Megan Rapino and her partner, Sue Bird. I took that idea and ran with it! We haven't dressed up much over the years so it was fun to dress up with the girls. The girls also changed their costumes about 15 minutes before leaving to trick-or-treat. At first Lenny was a cute kitten, Charley was a scientist and Bergen was a bat. Then they switched because they dug through the dress up bin and Lenny found the green fairy costume that Bergen wore last year and Charley found her witch costume that she wore last year. So we did a quick switch and were on our way out. Trick-or-treating is so fun here because you just walk up and down the street and go to restaurants, deli's, barber shops, the tattoo parlor and liquor store. Everyone is really giving and give the girls handfuls of candy. They came home with buckets full! This year we did a fun thing where I let them keep 20 pieces and then they gave me the rest and they got to choose a toy online to buy. It was a perfect trade off!

Family pictures!

My sweet cousin Tiffany came to New York with her husband Terry. It was so fun to see them and they were able to do a lot of fun things while they were here! We took them out to dinner and also ordered in a few times. We weren't able to do a ton of things with them since Charley and Bergen were in school but we had fun with them at night when they got back to our place. Tiffany was also able to take our family photos while she was here and I LOVE how they turned out! I didn't want a super big photoshoot since I was pregnant and would rather have some photos when baby is here, but I wanted to keep the tradition of doing family photos each year and wanted one for our Christmas card as well. Tiffany took some really cute individual ones of the girls and a great family photo too! We just went to Prospect Park were the leaves were turning beautiful colors. Before the photoshoot, I went to Old Navy and was able to find some cute color coordinating outfits. It turned out so cute!!

October

We had a fun and exciting October! Lots of pictures from Bergen's preschool, one of Charley doing a book report in her class, Terry and Tiff came to visit and we went to Ample Hills to get ice cream with them. The girls loved spending time with them and Tiff is so good with the girls. She just loves them! Tiffany and I were able to sneak out one night and see Dear Evan Hansen. It is such a great broadway!! I loved it! Charley broke her collar bone again.. her and Spencer were playing she he threw her up in the air but didn't catch her quite right and she landed on her head/collarbone and I could tell right away that it had broken again. We were actually going to get an x-ray for her broken arm and I asked them to x-ray her collarbone too and sure enough it was broken. She had to wear her sling for 4 weeks to help it heal.

I made Standrena a cake like Charley's! She loved Charley's cake so much that she wanted one for her birthday too! It was so fun to make it for her and she lit up when she saw it. PierreLande brought it to her classroom so they could all have a piece! :)
