Lenny was given a beautiful blessing by Spencer on November 5th. When my mom came out to visit she made Lenny's blessing dress and it turned out beautiful. I asked Spencer's mother if she would bring something to sew on the dress since I had done that with Charley and Bergen's dresses as well. She brought her Young Women's Medallion to sew on and it looked so pretty!
Lenny's blessing day was a special day for our family since it was also the day Spencer was called to be Bishop of our Brooklyn Ward. It was a busy day, but a good day. When Spencer blessed Lenny, he blessed her that she would be given what she needed to truly understand the gospel and gain a testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He blessed her that she would have a desire and curiosity to learn about the Savior and his teachings and his gospel, and through his teachings she would find joy and peace in this life. He blessed her that she would have a roadmap to follow to be able return to our Heavenly Father.
He blessed her that as she grew she would have a support group and a family that would love her and take care of her. He blessed her that she would have all the opportunities she needed to be happy, successful and to be an example to believers and unbelievers of the pure love of Christ.
He blessed her that as she grew she would have the opportunity to serve a mission, be married in the temple and that those opportunities would be hers and through her agency she could make righteous choices.
