At 36 weeks, one night I woke up to some fluid around my in bed. I woke up Spencer at 1am and told him I thought my water had broke. I looked at the fluid, which was clear and it didn't smell like urine so I was convinced that my water really had broken. We thought it was weird that it was so early in the pregnancy, but called my Dr. She said to come to the hospital where they would do some tests and see if my water had actually broken. We took an Uber to the hospital which only took 20 minutes since it was the middle of the night! It was amazing. The Dr. checked me and said my water hadn't broken. Weird! They also checked the fluid around baby which was fine! We were there for about 4 hours doing some tests and then they sent us home. I was a little relieved to be sent home but still puzzled at what the fluid around me was. The Dr. said it was probably urine, but I really didn't feel like it was. I thought I would have felt myself peeing in the middle of the night or it would have had a smell. Well anyway, I didn't have any more leaking since then, which is nice! And everything has been fine.. it was just a weird night for us.
Also at 36 weeks I had a checkup and my Dr. was concerned with baby's growth. I haven't gained a lot of weight in this pregnancy (which is the same with the other two girls) and Dr. said baby was in the 10th percentile. She sent me to a specialist who I saw at 37 weeks. She is if baby doesn't grow some more she wanted to induce me at 39 weeks, which I really wanted to avoid! Both my other girls were small and I know I just have small babies.
Week 39! Almost there! We went to the Bronx Zoo and walked a lot! I haven't had any back pain with this pregnancy like I did with Bergen which is so nice! I wake up about 1-2 times each night to go pee but fall right back to sleep. Spencer has been amazing and gets up with the girls every single morning! He lets me sleep in another hour or so which is nice because I am always so dang tired! The only pain I feel is a little twinge in my right thigh. It's right at the bottom where a nerve must be and baby must be right on it! Sometimes it hurts a lot and I have to push my belly to wake baby up to have her move a bit! :)
The girls are getting exited and Charley is so excited that I am due NEXT WEEK! I don't think they know what exactly is coming but they both are excited to have a baby. I think Bergen will be extra helpful (putting babies binkie in all day like she did with Beckham) and I am hoping Charley will want to help me too. The other day I explained how I needed to feed baby milk every few hours and so she would have to be my big helper!
Dear baby: I am really excited to meet you in a week! Your due date is October 13th. I am thinking you will come around then or a few days after. I pray that you are a healthy baby girl and the delivery goes well. There is always that "what if" of something going wrong and my prayers (and your big sisters prayers) right now are to bless our baby sister to be safe and healthy. I am getting all your clothes and moses basket ready for when you arrive. Our hospital bags are "partly" packed and we are anxious to have you in our family. Daddy and I are still trying to think of a name but we have a good list of ones we like! I wonder what you will look like and what your hair will become. I wonder what your personality will be and your temperament. I pray you will be a good baby since I will have 3 little girls at home with me all day. It might be a lot to adjust to but I know you will have some amazing good big sisters to help and take care of you. We can't wait to meet you soon! Love you already. -love Mama
