End of August and a date!

8.30.2017

August was good to us! We enjoyed the nice weather and were able to get out and do a lot of things. Here are some favorite pictures. The girls have really liked riding the mechanical seal or race-car near our house so I tell them if they remember their quarters they can ride it. Bergen is pretty good at remembered and loves riding these things!
I also watched my friends twin girls one day and so I had to take a picture of all 4 girls on the stroller. This stroller is so durable! I love it.
Spencer took me out for my birthday and we went to a speakeasy. It's this really cool restaurant where people used to go to get alcohol when it was banned. The interior has a cool vibe and it's crazy that the outside is just a door (like it was back then). There is no sign or anything to let you know that the restaurant is there. Inside there are paintings all around of famous writers who would go there to write and drink. It was a fun night! After dinner, we went and got some yummy ice cream at "cones". A favorite place that is a mix of gelato and ice cream.

Saying good bye to dear friends and more Camping fun

30 weeks! We are getting close to when baby girl comes! I am getting excited to meet her and so are the girls. Bergen things she is playing hide-and-seek since she can't see her and always tries to lift up my shirt to see where baby is at. :) We said good-bye to two dear friends this last week. Jefra and her family are moving to Nashville so we had a get together in the park with friends to say bye to them. That night in the park, the girls found and caught fireflies which is always so magical! I loved watching their faces and catching them (maybe squishing a few too).  Our friends from Manhattan, the Eyi's moved to Boston. Charley and James were such good buddies it was sad to see them go.
This last weekend we went camping in upstate New York. On the way, we stopped at Storm King. It's this huge outdoor sculpture exhibit. It's about 500 acres full of huge sculptures! It was fun to explore with our friends and then go camping with them. We got to our campsite and it was a lot more sketchy than the website made it seem. It was called SoHi and was under new management. There was no running water and it was just really run down. The first night the Grow's made dinner and we roasted marshmallows and then it started to rain. It rained the entire night! Like really hard. I don't think I slept more than 3 hours the whole night! The girls slept great though. The next morning we noticed out tent door wasn't closed all the way so there was a lot of water over where the girls were sleeping and their sleeping bags were super wet. The forecast said more rain the next night so we decided to pack up and go home. That morning, the girls found worms and played in the dirt. I think they were a little disappointed to go home since they love camping so much but there will be more times! They really do LOVE camping! I love that they love it so much.
On the way home we stopped at this really cool water hole where we swam around for a bit and walked in small waterfalls. We also stopped along the way to a berry farm and picked some fresh blueberries, raspberries and blackberries! They were YUMMY!
Running going strong at 33 weeks!!
