After our fun festivities in Utah, we made our way to Washington. My parents left us a car in Utah when they drove out for the wedding, so we were able to drive that back to Washington. We stopped on our way in Mountain Home to say hi to our friends Tyler and Clancee and their cute kids! It was fun to catch up with them. When we were in Winthrop, we went to the Water Slides, had my moms surprise birthday, my brother got home from his mission and then we had a 4 day family reunion. We really know how to pack things in! Our reunion was so much fun!! Each day we had something planned and made the most of our family being together (minus Megan and Jackson who we sorely missed). We went boating, horse-back riding, played family games in the yard, went on runs with the sisters, played table games at night, went to Honey-moon campground and had a family olympics tournament, played water slip-n-slide baseball, tie-dyed shirts and went shopping in town. It was so good to be home and watch Charley run free in the yard, play with her cousins and be a kid. It reminded me of my childhood days being outside most the day, jumping on the trampoline and playing on our swing-set. We had about 30 people in my parents house but it never really felt like that since most the kids were outside all day and we were playing and having fun. We all took turns making a dinner one night too. We made dinner on my Mom's birthday so we had her tell us what her favorite thing was. We roasted salmon, BBQ'd chicken, had a cranberry/feta salad and butternut squash risotto. AND cheesecake for dessert. Thank you Mom and Dad for such a great weekend!
Bergen also started sleeping through the night on this trip which was a bonus!
(There are lots of pictures!)
We also celebrated my sister Melissa's birthday and my birthday while we were in Washington. We were going to travel the day of my birthday, so we celebrated it a few days early with the best fruit salad by candle-light. (The power was out!)
