June

June feels like it flew by! Since having Bergen these last 2 months have gone by really fast which is sad. I love having a newborn and wish time would stand still. Charley is also getting so big to me. She is learning so much right now and I am really impressed with how quickly she learns and remembers things. You only have to tell her once and she remembers. The other day we were walking up the stairs and she started to count and counted all the way up to 16!! I didn't know she knew that! She can identify all her letters and numbers and LOVES reading books. It has been fun to watch her learn and grow. She is also saying 2 word sentences which is fun and a lot easier to understand than just one word. We love this girl!
Bergen is almost 2 months and growing so fast! She is making eye contact, smiling and cooing like crazy! I love this baby stage. She still wakes up once to feed around 3am but goes right back down till 7am which is nice.
We started going to a free forest school here in Brooklyn and it has been so much fun! Forest Schools are really expensive so it is nice to go to a free one! We went exploring one day and found a huge puddle in the park. The kids had fun splashing in it and getting wet and dirty. Charley did not love getting dirty and wanted me to keep brushing off her mud every time she would get some on her shoe and legs.
After bath-time photos. This girls hair is getting so long! You can't tell since it is curly but after the bath when we brush it, it goes to the middle of her back! It's deceivingly long.
Father's Day was a good one. We went to church and then came home and made some yummy shrimp curry and had lemon raspberry cheesecake that our Super made. It was yummy!
Charley and James are only 4 days apart and have been best friends since we moved here almost 2 years ago. It has been so much fun having someone her age to play with. We love hanging out with James. The other day we went to the playground and they swung on the big-kid swings and thought it was pretty cool. That night we went to a free concert in the park and hung out with a picnic dinner and let the kids run around. It was a perfect summer night.
Church shenanigans
This is what grocery shopping looks like in the city. What you don't see is Bergen strapped to my front and the gallon of milk under Charley's seat.
BABY!!
