Easter 2015

4.23.2015

We had such a fun Easter this year! We had a very low key morning with Charley waking up to her Easter basket and playing non-stop with her plastic eggs (she loves it when I hide them around the house so she can find them). We made a yummy breakfast and watched some General Conference. Then later that day we went to Spencer's boss's house up in Connecticut for dinner. I made a baked brie appetizer that turned out really good! I was nervous to make anything because his boss is such an amazing cook, but I found a sun-dried tomato, pesto and artichoke baked brie that was divine! We had a really good Easter dinner and spent the evening with some fun people!
Leading up to Easter, Charley went to 2 easter-egg hunts with friends. The first one we decorated sugar cookies first and then walked over to the park to let the kids find eggs. It was a fun morning with good friends and their kids!
The second hunt was with friends but inside one of the our church buildings since it was raining outside. We made obstacles with chairs and tables so it was fun for the kids to still try to find the hidden eggs. Charley caught on to the concept quick of finding the eggs and putting them in her basket. She was even more surprised after the hunt when she could open each one and find candy!!! She was on a sugar high for sure since I don't really give her candy, but I took a few deep breaths and let her have at all her candy.
Easter morning at our house looked like this. The night before I hid some eggs and filled them with raisins and dried mangos and then in her Easter basket she got an animal book, a tutu, sunglasses and a new outfit.
