In everything I read and heard from their children, my Grandparents were such hard workers. My Grandpa was a school teacher, and would get up around 5am to milk their family cow before he left for work.
Still fit into his WWII uniform at 97 years old
He taught himself how to play the harmonica during the war. He said he bought his first one on the ship going over to the Philippines and taught himself how to play while he was there.
One of my favorite things about Grandpa's house was his raspberry patch. His raspberries were always the BEST tasting I have ever had! He always had a huge garden with fruit trees and his raspberry patch that he took care of year after year.
I miss this man, but know he is so happy where he is at with his wife and some of his children. I am glad I was able to live in Utah while he was alive and see him so much!
Another great post. Thanks for all the nice pics. Sweet memories!
