Our little BYU fan!
Charley was blessed September 8th and we were so fortunate to have so many family members come! My parents and sisters Melissa and Rachelle and her little girl Nora drove all the way from Washington! My other sisters, Danielle, Megan and Bailey and her husband Justin came too! We also had Spencer's parents, his Aunt Chris, Uncle Grant, cousins Jessica and Ryan and his brothers Tim and Tyler and their families come! She is one lucky girl! Spencer did such a nice job! I loved the blessing he gave Charley and the things he said. He blessed her with health and strength. He blessed her that she will always know that she is loved by her family and the Lord. He blessed her to be raised righteously and to always have the priesthood in her home. He blessed her to know what to do to return to Heavenly Father. He blessed her to understand the Gospel. He blessed her to have a desire to serve others. He blessed her to one day meet a worthy man to take her to the temple and to one day experience the joy of having children. He blessed her to have the desire to keep the commandments. Such an inspired and wonderful blessing!
When my mom visited 2 weeks after Charley was born, she made her blessing dress! I LOVE how it turned out! We went to JoAnn and picked out the fabric we wanted to use and my mom went to town on the dress! She made it in a day and the cute little headband. She is a very talented lady. When they came for her blessing, I asked her to bring a keepsake jewel to put on it. She brought an earing that her Aunt Velma gave her who is my Grandpa Parrish's sister. So Sweet!!
We have also had some fun visitors come meet Charley. One of my students from last year came with her mom and brother. Katie was so cute holding Charley!
While my parents were in town, we went to Ogden to see my Grandpa. Charley was able to meet her Great- Grandpa! :)
Running is always much for fun when you do it with your sisters! :)
Sitting up on the couch by herself! (with the help of pillows)
So happy we could be there for the blessing! And Mom did great with the dress--I love the 'keepsake' idea.
