Thanksgiving and our new Puppy JACKIE!!

11.25.2022

We had a great thanksgiving with Pierre Lande and her girls, Robert and Vera and LOTS of cooking. We always love having guests. I was in the kitchen for two days straight! I didn't think it would take so long, but I started Wednesday gathering ingredients and making recipes ahead of time that I could. Well one thing lead to another and I ended up being in the kitchen ALL day. Thursday morning we ran a 5K at the church and then went home to do more prep work and cooking. Everything turned out so delicious it was worth it!

Our new pup Jackie! We got him the day after Thanksgiving. We surprised the girls by Spencer taking Charley, Bergen, and Lenny on a road trip out to Ohio to pick him up. He is such a cute and good natured dog. He's very obedient and loves to please. He's quickly stolen our hearts and we love having him. Each of the girls have quickly developed a bond with him and he loves to spend time with them. While Spencer and the girls were driving to Ohio, Jonny and I went to Pet Smart to get a doggie bed, crate, food and leash.
Jackie came from a little of just one boy (him!) and 5 girls. We knew we wanted a boy for Spencer so it worked out well that we got him. We all LOVE him!!

BaNaNa! Bergen loves how the minions say banana! We feel so blessed live in an area where the public schools are really amazing. The girls have such a good experience and come home with so much energy and enthusiasm for life. Lenny has been involved in St. Marks pre-school the last two years and we think it's been such a joy to have her there. She truly loves her teachers, friends and the environment. She is excited to go each day.

Fall is a magical time of year in the northeast. The colors and the leaves are just stunning.. And the crisp air adds just a little bit of charm. Our girls have a way of finding joy in the little things around town.

Charley has really enjoyed doing girls scouts this year. She's a little go getter and has loved the activities, even walking around the neighborhood in her outfit selling cookies.

Our poor Jonny girl has had some pretty traumatic experiences in her short life. She tried climbing up on the sink to wash her hands and fell and sliced her tongue down right down the middle.

We love having Grace farms near our house. It's such a great place to go on  cold day to get out of the elements or on a beautiful fall day to play in wide open spaces. There is always something to do and someone to play with.

We dug this old photo up from our trip to Myrtle beach of Madison and Bergen playing in the rain. These two are always up for an adventure!!
