Charley gave Lenny a coupon for her birthday that she could sleep with her for one night. Lenny used it up fast and I had to snap a pic of them sleeping together. Charley is a sweet big sister. The leaves are changing and it's so pretty!! I got to take Bergen to a HS girls soccer game and it was fun to spend some time with her. Lenny and Jonny have been playing so well together. They are such good buds. I am sad to see Lenny off to Kindergarten next year. Jonny is going to miss her sister and playmate. Lenny and her class got to ride on Old Faithful- it's the cutest old firetruck in town that you can rent and ride around with friends. The girls had a blast!
The Halloween festivities begin! We went to Waveny Park and walked around the blow-up Halloween decor which is always a fun night. We also had our ward trunk-or-treat and chili cook-off. It was a lot of fun! The Primary Presidency hosted and decorated the gym and it turned out really fun and everyone had a great time. Everyone walked around outside to get candy and then we all went inside to each chili and chat. It was a fun night! We also got to go to South School to watch the Halloween Parade for the girls.
Halloween night! Jonny was a green fairy, Lenny was WonderWoman, Bergen was Cleopatra and Charley was a softball player. We all went trick-or-treating together around our neighborhood and met up with the Patels. It was great and the girls got lots of candy!
Charley and Spencer went to the MET's game together with Daniel and Annie. It was a fun night just the 4 of them. Charley had a blast staying up late and gett some Mets swag. I got to go to Lenny's preschool and read her class a book for her birthday. Lenny chose Wonder Woman and luckily we have a few other super-hero fans in the class that loved reading about her! Spencer went duck-hunting in Idaho with his high school friends. He loves doing this each year and it's been a fun tradition. He has bought a lot of camouflage gear and loves hunting the duck. They usually have duck tacos one night and just hang out and catch up on life together. Our stake did a neat thing where we planted over 200 trees around Fairfield county to commemorate the anniversary of when Joseph Smith went to the Sacred Grove. We planted 3 trees at Irwin Park! It was a fun day with other ward members.
Jonny is going to a sweet little preschool this year at the High School. It is 2 days a week for just 2 hours. The High School kids run the program and do fun lessons, crafts and play with them. Jonny is so excited for school just like her sisters!
We went to PierreLands house to celebrate her and some of her kids' birthday. We brought a cake to celebrate and some gifts for each of the girls. It was good to see her and her family. Her sweet boy Zach is getting big too! Her girls are so sweet and we love her family so much.
One Saturday in October we realized we didn't have any sports or obligations so I took the girls on a drive around our neighboring towns to see the colors! We stopped in Pound Ridge and got some baked goods and went to a bookstore that was Harry Potter Themed! It was one of those days that you hope to never forget! The weather was perfect, the girls were being good and we just enjoyed the day and all the colors so much!!
