I decided to take the leap and potty train Jonny before our summer travels started! She was AMAZING at it and literally potty trained in one day! AND NIGHT trained as well! She was an angel trainer and really never really looked back. We got some fun undies to get her excited and then went for it. I used this little potty the first couple days but she kind of got tired of going in the small potty and went straight to the big potty! It was really amazing and so stress-free for me!.
Poor girl had a rough go at the ER. She was washing her hands (after going potty like a big girl) and bumped her chin on the sink really hard and bit all the way through her tongue! It completely split open like a snake. I took her to the ER and they had to stitch her tongue back together. It was very traumatic to watch them stitch her up at the ER. They gave her a drug to kind of make her loopy but once they started putting a needle through her tongue she was trying to move around and crying so hard. I don't think her tongue was very numb because the numbing cream they gave me to put on her tongue wasn't really effective since she wouldn't let me keep in on her tongue for the amount of time we were supposed to. Poor girl it took 5 nurses and the Dr. in there to hold her down and to tie her tongue back. Afterward the Dr. said that was the hardest thing she had ever done. the hard part was that the stitch kept coming out and wouldn't actually stitch to anything because it was just one big gash. She had to stop a few times and re-assess to see if she actually go do anything. She finally put in about 20 stitches and called it good. the Dr. did great and the whole time while Jonny was screaming saying she wanted to go home, all I could say is, "it's okay, we are all most there".
Fathers Day! Breakfast in bed (the attic) and lots of cards and hugs. We love our Daddy so much and think the world of him. The girls love wrestling with him and playing any physical game with him. He's the best and such a good dad to these girls.
