End of March

We finally made it to Grace Farms which is a really cool outdoor space. There is a library, green space and a gym with open-ended toys. It was fun to get out and enjoy a spring day. For St. Patricks Day the leprechaun visited us and gave the girls Lucky Charms and a treat. I took Charley out on a date to swirl and she loved it!! She hadn't gone before and she just giggled each time she got to choose something. She loved the huge cups and then loved pouring the frozen yogurt in and then ALL the toppings! She just loved it and was so excited about everything. It was really cute! Spencer and I got away to finally see Music Man! We had bought these tickets when I was pregnant with Jonny! And because of Cov!d it was delayed again and again. But we finally made it 2 years later!! It was such a great performance! Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster were in it and such a great duo. The music and everything was really well done and Hugh Jackman was just having a ball up there!!

We hosted our first annual chocolate chip cookie contest! It was such a great turnout and soooo many good cookies! Our Bishop, Brooks Lindberg, won. He had an amazing cookie! There were so many good ones to try. We did it bracket style and assigned each cookie a team name so no one knew whose cookie was whose. We had some really unique ones like maple and bacon and some really hard ones and some with m&m's. It was fun to be on a team a try a cookie and then rate it and move the cookie you thought tasted best to the next round. I had a rolling pin made for the winner and a spatula made for 2nd place. It was a good night! 

March

I had a super fun girls get away to Palm Springs with some of my best friends from High School! Katie's parents own a house there and it has a pool and it is always so fun to just relax, chat and play games. We really do a lot of down time and just talk and relax by the pool. This year we got a hike in and went into town briefly for an Acai Bowl and to see the colored doors. It was a little chilly this year so we were inside a bit more but did get in the hot tub which felt nice. We stayed up way too late playing games (some naughty ones:) and just had fun together. We have such a special bond and pick right up where we left off. It's not awkward or hard to talk.. they are truly best friends and I loved my time with them. 

Lenny is doing so good riding her bike! We tried it out in the fall and it was hard for her to get the pedaling motion down but this year in preschool she has practiced on the tricycles and we tried again and she just rode away! It was amazing!! She can balance so well and just took off with it. It was fun to see. Now she wants to ride her bike everywhere! Charley finished the basketball year off well. She had a fun coach (in our ward) and team and it was fun to see her play. Bergen was on an all boy team and did really well with it! She stuck with it despite being the only girl and her team won the championship!! She was really excited about her trophy!
