Jonny is TWO!

1.14.2022

January was such a busy month since we bought a here in New Canaan, but we still managed to celebrate this sweet girl turning TWO!! Jonny is such a joy in our family. She is smart, funny, super talkative, sweet, happy and easy going. Jonny loves to do play dough and glue sparkly gems on paper. She loves balloons, going outside on walks and going to the playground to swing. Jonny loves her sisters so much and is most happiest when they are all playing together. The weekend is just about the best thing ever since she can play with them on Saturday and Sunday mornings for hours. Jonny loves to read books, find animals wherever we go and is starting to learn her colors. She does a mommy and me swim class each week which she loves and always says, "swim class two days" because she knows it's coming soon. She talks a lot for being just two and can communicate to us pretty well what she wants. The cutest thing she says is "bok" for "milk" and somedays it takes me a bit to register just what she wants. :) Jonny loves purses and always has a purse or bag to carry around with random things inside. She loves helping the kitchen like her older sisters, doing crafts and playing. Jonny is a sweet cuddle bug and will call for us in the morning until we bring her into our room to cuddle while we fall back asleep for 10-15 minutes. She is good to just lay there and let us sleep for a big longer. Jonny goes to bed so easy and loves our routine of reading a few books and singing songs. She is pretty attached to her blankie that she needs now to fall asleep wherever we go. Jonny loves her sister make-up, getting into their things when they are in school and helping me around the house during the day. She is my little side-kick going to the grocery store. Jonny is pure joy and we love her!!

January and a NEW HOUSE!

1.13.2022

Promptly after Christmas break was over and the girls were back in school, Spencer and I were in a mad house to pack up our entire house because we BOUGHT A HOUSE in town!! We are so excited for this new adventure and can't wait to be in our own house and space. We love the house so much and feel really  lucky and blessed to call it ours. We moved in January 7th and had lots of help it was incredible. So many friends came over to help and support and put tougher beds and bring pizza and unpack. It all worked out great! Then the whole next week I had people stop by to bring dinner and dessert and help unpack or watch kids so that I could unpack in peace. It was really nice to have so much help. We also had some special Brooklyn friends stop by and help for a day. Raquel and Nathan and their two cute boys came up and it was so good to see them. I guess they needed to get out of the city for the day and we got to show them around New Canaan a bit. I would love if they moved here too! It would be fun to have some Brooklyn friends move here!!

I had a unique 30 minute time where I dropped Lenny off at preschool and Jonny was napping so I took the older girls to Mead Pond and we ice skated in our shoes. I guess it doesn't freeze over every year but this year it did and so we took advantage and ice skate for about 30 minutes. Its was a fun and spontaneous thing to do and I think they loved that it was just the two of them. We also had a HUGE snowstorm one day and so in the middle of it all we took the jeep out to the Parker's neighborhood and hooked the sleds on the back and Spencer drove the kids around on the sleds. Even the moms got in on the action. Its was really fun and cold and windy but mostly fun. But then a police man came over and told us that a few people had called 9-1-1 on us and he told us it was illegal to pull someone from behind the car and that we had to stop. Luckily at this point we had already got an hour worth of sledding in so we felt fulfilled :) It was a fun time!!
