The Deere's came to visit!

4.25.2018

We love it when family comes to visit. Megan and Jackson and their sweet baby girl Madeleine came to visit us!! Even though it was a cold week we had fun going out with them to Central Park and doing a dinner hop with them. We found the most amazing Indian tacos at Taco Mahal. We also had some falafel and a really cool fries place with yummy sauces to dip it in. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge, went to the Piers and rode the Carousel and hung out at home. It was so good to see their cute family!
We love our rooftop so much! We have been going up about 3-4 times a week and BBQing and letting the girls swim in the pool. We love it up there!
Our little Lenny girl turned 6 months! I can't believe how fast baby #3 is going! She is growing so fast. She is a champ eater and sleeper and such a happy and content baby. She is super chill, loves her sisters and gets distracted really easy which makes it nice for when she is fussy and you can distract her with a toy/utensil/food to cheer her up.
Charley's classroom had a Farmers Market that the parents could go visit. She was in charge of the flower table and sold pretty flowers to everyone. I helped her teacher make the baskets on the bulletin board (which took about an hour each!). She class is super cute and so sweet. I have loved her preschool!!

April and Washington DC

4.24.2018

April was a busy month. I have a bunch of pictures to that I wanted to post to be able to keep somewhere. We have been starting to spend more time up on our roof as the weather gets nicer. It's so nice to go up there and grill, play in the pool and just hang out. The girls love going up there and playing. It's been so nice to have a mini "backyard" to escape to. One evening the sun was going down and I loved the lighting so I took some pictures of the girls.
We love Charley's teacher so much! She is so good with her class. When I first was looking into putting Charley in preschool I was able to go around to all the other preschool classrooms and just really liked Ms. Viard's class the best. She was really warm and kind with the kids and had a Montessori teaching style. She has been so good for Charley this year and has helped a lot educationally and just emotionally. Charley gets frustrated if she isn't able to get something right away and Ms. Viard was able to help her with this and help her learn to practice practice practice.

One day we went to the Natural History Museum with friends and explored the "senses" exhibit. It was really cool and went through each sense and how our brain uses it.
More pictures: Preschool volcanoes, gymnastics for Charley and Washington D.C for Easter. We decided to take a road trip down to DC and house swap with a guy that wanted to come here with his girlfriend. It worked out so well! He lived in Chevy Chase and its as such a cute little neighborhood where he lived. We ate out at Cava twice! So good!! It has the best salads and hummus. And then we went into the city and explored the monuments, went to the National Geographic museum to see the "Tomb of Christ" exhibit which was fascinating! They replicated the tomb through a 3-D virtual tour. We had Easter at the house we were staying at and had a relaxing morning and then went to the Temple that evening to walk around the grounds and see the Visitors Center. We also walked around Georgetown which is always fun!
