February fun

 We had a nice a relaxing February after so much traveling. We have been having such great weather that we went outside a lot to the park and playgrounds. We also went to the zoo with friends one day which was nice. The girls are getting to a stage where they play together which makes cooking dinner a lot easier for me. I don't have to be constantly entertaining them. They will just go in Charley's room or stay in the living room and play together. It's so great! We hosted a big Super Bowl party which was a lot of fun. We had a few families come over and watch the game.. and by watch the game I mean the husband did while the ladies stayed in the kitchen and talked and the kids played in Charley's room. It was perfect!

We finally tried out Clinton Street Baking Company. It was really good! We got the blueberry pancakes and chicken and waffles. YUM! Spencer loved the chicken and waffles.. I thought they were ok but still a weird combination to have together.

Scottsdale, AZ

 Over Valentines Weekend we had a Mom/Sister trip to Scottsdale, Arizona. A year ago from Valentines day was when Jim and Sarah found out the diagnosis of Jim's cancer so Sarah wanted to be away that weekend. She wanted to go relax somewhere warm and so we made a long weekend out of it and enjoyed Scottsdale for a few days. Not all my sisters were able to make it which we were sad about but it was fun with those who were able to come. We did lots of eating yummy food, hiking, Dani and I ran a lot, shopping and sitting by the pool. It was actually still a little cold to sit by the pool and get some sun but we relaxed anyway. We went on this pretty intense hike called, Camelback and it was steep! I was so proud of my mom and sister Rachelle how is 7 months pregnant for going on it! It was a rock scramble in some areas and was actually pretty hard. The views were pretty and it was some good exercise though.

I just love spending time with these sisters and Mom of mine so much! They are all so fun to be around. It was a great little getaway and I was grateful to Spencer for watching our girls so I could get away for a few days. 

Some of our favorite places to eat was this breakfast place called Snooze. Such good pancakes, french toast and Eggs Benedict. We also got a few acai bowls at Nektar and some yummy tacos at Diego Pops. We had the best pizza at Pizzeria Bianco the last night we were there too.
