Kate and Katie visit the Big Apple!
6.29.2016
My dear friends, Kate and Katie, came to visit me and it was so much fun! They are my childhood friends from Washington and still live there in Seattle. They both have little ones of their own but left them with their husbands for a weekend of fun. We hopped around the city and did so much in the 3 days they were here. We ate LOTS of good food and I had so much fun showing them around. My girls did really well while we lugged them around the city as well. Spencer was sweet to take Charley and Bergen each night so we could go to a Broadway and enjoy the nights kidless. Some highlights: Brooklyn Bridge, State Island Ferry, High-line and Chelsea Market, riding bikes around Central Park, Finding Neverland Broadway, Times Square, Union Square and Fishs Eddy, and of course Levain Bakery cookies!!

Date nights
6.27.2016
I love date nights with this handsome man! We have been fortunate to do a couples swap with some good friends where we will each go out one weekend and the other weekends we will watch their kids. It works out really well and is much cheaper than paying for a babysitter. A few weeks ago we wanted to try out this seafood place in SoHo but we got there and they only accept cash and sure enough we didn't have cash (or our debit cards). We went to an Italian place nearby that didn't live up to my Little Italy expectations so afterward we hit up TWO ice cream places I have heard great things about. Spencer is more of a plain vanilla ice cream guy but I love trying the crazy flavors. We went to one called Minus Celsius which was awesome to watch them make! They stir up this concoction in front of you of what you want in your ice cream and then they pour it on this below freezing table where they mix it all up and then roll it into these little ice cream rolls. It was really good! Then we went to Ice and Vice which has the most outrageous experimental flavors like Pink Guava/Lime Chili Plantain Chip. OR Green Apple/Hemp Milk/Fennel Granola. OR Toasted Poppy Seed/White Sesame/Lemon Bread Crouton. I stuck with the Toasted Milk/Sea Salt/Chocolate Ganache which was amazing!!
This last weekend we went to a movie- Now You See Me 2! It was our first movie in 3 years!!! We aren't huge movie people as it is but we liked the first one of Now You See Me, so we decided to go to the second. It was really good and fun to go to a theater. Afterward we were talking about how long it had been and we came to the conclusion that there are just so many other things in New York we would rather go do and see than sit in a Movie Theater! But it was fun sneaking in our own popcorn and just sitting to watch a movie.

Photoshoot fun
6.06.2016
For Bergen's cake smash photoshoot, I had ordered a onsie from a lady on Etsy. After I took Bergen's cake smash photos, I sent a few photos to show her how the onsie looked! She asked if I wanted to take some photos of some of her bows and she would send them to me for free! I was up for that trade. So she sent each of the girls about 5 different bows and a personalized onsie for Bergen. I took the photos of the girls to send to her and we got to keep the bows! I love how the photos turned out and that Charley was actually really trying to smile in some of them! Love my cute girls!
